Black Edwardian Corset

Private collection

This corset pattern was adapted from an Edwardian pattern. Edwardian is the most difficult period of corsets to adapt to a moden body because of the unique Edwardian posture. After making the corset, I covered it with with a silk panne velvet. I did not want the complicated seeming and boning of the corset to compromise the slick wet seal of the material. I had some assistance with the fitting of this corset, but did the rest of the work myself.
