Moulin Rouge Style Corset
I made this corset for a friend. She picked this wonderful fabric. It made a truly exciting and beautiful corset but it was very difficult to work with. It was a very thin silk and required extra preparation. It was also took me long time because the stripes are not exactly regular and the corset pattern is slightly asymmetrical so I had to match slightly larger pieces up to the slightly larger stripes and the smaller pieces to the smaller stripes. Even then it took a little fudging. The corset is made of coutile covered in silk striped in teal, red and black. The top and bottom are bound with a rayon grosgrain and the top is decorated with cartridge pleated ribbon, red gimp braid with a teal ribbon woven through the gimp.
